Other Initiatives
Women-at-Risk
Many pregnant women are especially at-risk due to the growing uncertainties that comes with the war, and abortion – at present – remains accessible in Ukraine. Sadly, the primary reason for abortion is the fear of lack/ inability to support their children in this challenging times. We are pro-life, and work with local team of doctors, nurses and counsellors in various locations to provide financial, medical and socio-psychological supports for pregnant women who have chosen to protect their unborn babies.

Emergency Ambulances
The number of decommissioned soldiers due to physical injuries have risen sharply in the last one year, and those who live far away from city centers often have no means and no access to medical treatments in hospitals. We retrofitted vehicles with hydraulic platforms to enable non-ambulant and wheelchair-bound individuals to be safely hoisted into our emergency ambulances and be ferried to and from the nearest hospital to receive medical attention and treatments. We work with local community leaders to run and fund para-transit programs for free.
Frontline Chaplaincy
We also volunteer as chaplains in the frontlines and our focus is delivery of humanitarian aid and crisis response team within ‘ground zero’. In current de-occupied villages, we deliver weekly supplies of essentials to people who are unable or unwilling to be evacuated; and we also provide chaplaincy support to wounded individuals in stabilization points within ‘ground zero’ and frontline hospitals. Food and medical aid supplies are also delivered weekly to support the ever-growing number of casualties and humanitarian needs.
Audio Bibles
We distribute two types of audio bibles as part of our faith-based trauma tools. Every audio bible comes with messages of hope and peace, praise and worship songs – specially developed and recorded in the Ukrainian language. The first type is fitted with a solar-charging module that is freely distributed to soldiers in frontline hospitals and residents of de-occupied territories along the frontlines; and the second type takes the form of a toy lamb that is freely distributed to children in hospitals and orphanages.

Counselling Services
The effects of deep trauma are far-reaching. Through both in-person counselling sessions conducted during our week-long workshops (and over-zoom online sessions), we have served thousands of people – from veteran and decommissioned soldiers, internally-displaced persons, residents of de-occupied territories, and family members of veterans on active duties. Our programs take place in safe environments and utilizes different forms of therapy: including hydrotherapy, art and music therapies, and faith-based counselling.
Insulated Housing
Many villages across Ukraine have been devastated and homes along the frontlines destroyed. Survival remains a pressing challenge for Ukrainians, especially in the face of unabating war and harsh winter. We design resilient and insulated houses that are built using local labor and locally-sourced materials; and these houses are delivered and gifted to vulnerable peoples such as the elderly, widows and those with physical disabilities.

Lighthouses
Energy infrastructure has been largely destroyed and, consequently, there is little to no electricity in many areas across the country. People are left isolated from their families and have no means to keep themselves warm during winter. Our Lighthouses have since become safe places of refuge. Generators produce electricity needed for people to charge their medical and telecommunication devices, heaters provide warmth, and satellite internet reconnects people with their loved ones. Our team of local volunteers provide much-needed care and counselling.
Rehabilitation Centers
Designed and built several rehab centers (complete with equipment) to make services available to those injured (mine and explosive-related injuries) as many have no means to otherwise afford treatment. Located in the outskirts of cities and rural villages, we work with local community leaders to run the centers and fund these for free.

Soup Kitchen
The war has displaced many Ukrainians internally. Hundreds of thousands of people remain unemployed, families separated, and have no access to basic necessities. We establish and support multiple soup kitchens in different cities that provide 1 hot meal per day, distribute weekly food bags and medical aid, and provide a sense of community and socio-psychological support for families that have been internally displaced.

Children with Disabilities
Disability is a social stigma, and the war has exacerbated the challenges and disadvantages faced by disabled adults as well as families with disabled children. In war-devastated villages, we lead evacuation efforts to relocate physically- and mentally-disabled individuals from dangerous and occupied territories and provide aftercare in safe facilities and environments, administered by local medical care professionals.

Family of Fallen Soldiers
The war has taken countless lives, and every person who died along the frontlines was a son/ husband/ father to others. With our dedicated teams on the ground in various locations, we gather and provide financial and socio-psychological support for these families in this time of intense grief. We work with local community leaders to support and run targeted week-long counselling workshops in safe environments, to community-building activities and food/ medical aid.
